Brands can find and approve collaborator requests from Route by navigating to Settings > Users and Permissions > Collaborators.
The user must be the Store Owner to approve the request. Store Admins can also approve the request IF they have been granted the access by the owner for their specific role. If the user is not seeing the collaborator request, there's a good chance they don't have access to view and approve them.
Updating Existing Collab Permissions for Checkout Extensibility:
Sometimes we already have certain Shopify Collaborator permissions, but we didn't ask for all the required ones needed, and/or the merchant only accepted certain permissions. Whenever we need the merchant to update our existing permissions (including updating our permissions to now include what is needed for Checkout Extensibility) merchants can follow these steps. The steps below will showcase what is needed for Checkout Extensibility.
- In the Shopify Backend, the merchant needs to find "Settings" and click on Settings.
- Once in "Settings", the merchant needs to click on "Users and permissions" on the left-hand side and select the "RouteApp LLC" Collaborator.
- Once in our Collaborator view, the merchant can see all the permissions we have access to and grant us more access or even take away access. From here, they need to select under "Store settings" the "Checkout" and "Shipping and Delivery" options for Checkout Extensibility. Then select save.
- From there, we should then have the needed permissions to assist in adding Route via Checkout Extensibility if the merchant has migrated to Checkout Extensibility and is on Shopify Plus.
