Use this guide to upgrade the Route extension and add the latest version of the Route Package Protection widget on your Magento 2 website. Please note: This extension is optimized for Magento 2.4.4 and greater. If you use Magento 2.4.3 and below, please contact support.

1. 1. In your root directory, enter bin/bash
   2. Enter composer require route/route-m2
   3. Enter bin/magento setup:upgrade
   4. Enter bin/magento setup:di:compile
   5. Clean Magento cache by entering bin/magento cache:clean
   6. Log in to your Route Merchant Portal
   7. Use the support chat button in the Merchant Portal, or send an email to your dedicated Route representative, to notify the Route implementation team to complete your upgrade. Use the following message:

“I am an existing Route merchant and have upgraded to Route extension [insert version information, found in Extensions in your Adobe Commerce Marketplace]. Please complete my upgrade.”

You will receive an email from a Route representative within two business days noting that your upgrade is complete. 

Once you receive confirmation, the upgraded Route Package Protection widget should be properly configured on your checkout page, beneath the Shipping Methods section. To verify proper configuration:

1. 8. Navigate to your website and add any product to your cart
   9. Go to Checkout and confirm widget placement

If the widget is not displaying, contact support.
